Hello, I am new here and I am happy to have joined the forum. I hope that I have posted this in the right section. I recently started using YouTube to help people with How To's as well as stream video content live. I am severely limited due to the fact that I cam currently on CenturyLink DSL 20mbps service. The upload is roughly 0.80mbps and I can not stream anything that doesn't look like moving blocks.
Since it is Christmas day and no one is available to speak to at CL, I figured that I could seek some assistance here. I live in Clinton, UT 84015 and I figure that I would need at least 5mbps but would like to have 10+. I am not in need of anything past 20mb as I do not download a whole lot. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which service to switch to that would allow a lot of upload speed. I am also in need of someone that will not cap my uploads due to the fact that I will be streaming 4 days out of the week.
The last time I was with Comcast, the service would drop daily. Sometimes for an hour or more and mostly for 10 minutes every 6 hours or so. Recently, with CL I have had major issues with watching anything streaming like YouTube on any device or computer. It will play roughly 5 seconds of video, then buffer for about 15 seconds then play another 5 seconds. It has gotten to be too much. The neighborhood is roughly 9 years old. I currently have Comcast TV, but that is a bit much at 130 bucks a month, so I may just turn that off and use Roku with Hulu and Netflix instead.
Any suggestions on deals or plans will be helpful too. Thank you so much in advance.
