The tech setup an Xfinity modem while I was at work. I think he set it up with the built in router enabled, during a support call I was told that the modem has router capabilities.
The problem I'm having is that I have high packet loss inbound and outbound. A strange symptom is that after rebooting the modem I will see an Xfinity error page when trying to reach websites that need a DNS lookup until a minute after reboot is complete.
Another issue is that the remote techs could reboot the modem, but the modem won't reply to any informational queries.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on? I'd like to give the tech hints when he comes back, as he didn't do a very good job the first time and I'd like to get this solved as quickly as possible.
