[Connectivity] Intermittent connection issues on SB6141 w/comcast

Hopefully I'm putting all this in the right forum. I'm having intermittent connection issues with my SB6141. It's been going on for a long time and I've been trying my best to diagnose and fix the problem, but unfortunately I'm stuck. Trying to research the issue and solutions I stumbled on this site and some very helpful guides/posts/FAQ's, so I wanted to join and ask for any advice. I'll provide as much useful info as I can. I bought a Motorola SB6141 back in Aug of 2013. I activated it and used it with no issues for ~6 months. Starting roughly Feb of 2014 I started noticing connection problems. I notice it the most when I'm playing an online game and using a VOIP client (gchat/hangouts, skype, etc). My ping skyrockets in game for a few secs and my friends can no longer hear me talking (they just hear static or nothing). Sometimes it stops after 1 spike, sometimes it keeps spiking multiple times a minute. If I restart my modem, it goes away for a variable amount of time (sometimes hours, sometimes a day or 2) and then comes back. I tried using a docsis 2 TM602G and noticed that my issues went away, but since it's D2 and not D3, my speeds suffer. I also realized (through reading on this site) that my downstream levels were too high, so I put a splitter between my wall jack and the modem to lower the levels to within spec; however, I'm still having the same issue. I'm really just trying to figure out if the problem is my specific modem or if it's on Comcast's side. I want to say it's not my modem since I was able to use it for several months with no problems, and if it's on Comcast's side, is there anything I can do to try to properly explain the problem so it gets fixed? Sorry for the long post, I just thought more info might be helpful. I've attached my modem stats from this morning (this is after I put on a splitter to lower my downstream levels to within spec). If anyone has any thoughts, I'd definitely appreciate it - this is driving me crazy.
