In the past few months I've had three trucks roll by and replace my SMC twice, introduce a splitter since signal was coming in too strong, and had my line checked going out to the pole. Speeds are great and my latency is usually excellent, but every day at random hours (worst during evening/night) I get really hard latency spikes that'll last anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or so. I don't actually lose connection, it'll just lag hard - think playing your favorite online game at 9ms suddenly spike to 999ms back and forth for minutes on end.
It's gotten to the point where I'm debating canceling service, but I imagine Comcast would refuse to waive my contract when they see I don't have any actual downtime, just hard to prove poor quality connection for seconds/minutes at a time. Anyone have any suggestions/recourse I can take to make sure the problem gets fixed?
