I was just looking around at my modem today checking the signal levels just to see what they were, since I never really looked before and everything looked stellar. I then proceeded to rearrange some cables around my modem which I ended up unplugging from the power for a minute, upon the DPC3939 booting back up, none of my devices were able to get an IP address anymore. I could also see my wireless networks, but could not connect to them.
I tried the standard reboot, unplug, reboot again, as well as the self help app for comcast to no avail.
I ended up having to talk to a Level 2 person (whom I could actually understand) and he ended up restoring factory defaults to the device which fixed it.
When I logged back into the modem, I never noticed there was a bridge mode option on there...I always thought you had to call comcast with the DPC3939 to have it bridged...did I get a new update when I powered it back up and it failed? Maybe thats why none of my devices could get an IP?
For reference, here is the current boot file name: dpc3939-P20-18-v303r2042162-141018a-CMCST
