Purchased my own modem, TM822G to replace Comcast rental unit TM702G.
Installed and provisioned about four weeks ago. HSI and voice have been working fine, all speed tests perfect. Rock solid 58/12, ping=10
Late last night, I noticed the US light had turned solid orange. Checked modem config screen, sure enough had lost four channel bonding on downstream, only using one channel. So, rebooted modem and everything was fine again.
This morning, US light was orange again. Rebooted modem, everything ok again.
My question is: Is this a problem with the modem or is Comcast doing some maintenance along the line that would cause this?
Important to know since I own this thing now, there is a warranty period, but I don't want to go through the pain of swapping this one out.
The optimistic side of me says Comcast is screwing around on the line preparing for the "free" speed upgrade in my area.
