Yesterday afternoon I noticed that my modem was not holding a signal. So I did all the prerequisite troubleshooting before calling CC. They ran a couple of tests and detemined that it may have bitten the dust. Truck roll was scheduled for today and the tech exchanges it with a Arris TM722G EMTA. I noticed that my speeds 115/11 were on target and that pages were loading faster. I looked at the specs and found out it's not an 8x4 modem. However I guess that doesn't matter because things are moving along better than they were with the DPC 3008. The tech also swapped out the battery and put it in the new one. He said it made no sense to spend 20 bucks. I thanked him. Good guy!
Anyway, this question might be moot...but should I get another modem that is 8x4 from my local CC office or just leave well enough alone? :D Thanks.
