[Speed] Zoom 5341 unable to receive 105Mb speeds?

It looks like the 50 to 105Mb upgrade is finally available for my area, and Comcast has confirmed that I'm eligible for the speed increase. Went home yesterday and did a reboot of the modem. No luck, as I'm still on 50Mb. Called Comcast tech support. They tried re-provisioning the modem three times without success, and stated that a service tech will need to come by today to check the line speed. I received a call from the local tech this morning to confirm the appointment. He thinks that there isn't anything he can do to increase the speed. His initial assessment is that either my modem isn't rated for the 105 speed, or something may physically wrong with it. I believe this modem is Docsis 3.0 8x4, and is rated to support 105Mb down, correct? I told him I was skeptical that I'm having modem issues as it's functioned just fine over the past 14 months since purchase. He wants to install a Comcast owned modem to check that the line is capable of 105Mb. Any other issues I should bring up or suggest with the technician this afternoon?
