After Comcast replaced my Ubee 4x4 modem with a TC8305C, I've been having an odd issue with routing. I have the modem in bridge mode.
For some reason, every week or so I need to shut / no shut the modem-facing interface on my Cisco 2821. It's not dropping the IP address, and I can still connect to the modem's web interface at 10.0.0.1, but I can't get out from my LAN. Router can ping out when this happens as well. A shut/no shut on the interface always clears the issue.
If it helps, here's my fairly simple routing table as of right now:
Gateway of last resort is 24.12.4.1 to network 0.0.0.0 69.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnetsS 69.252.202.8 [254/0] via 24.12.4.1, GigabitEthernet0/0 24.0.0.0/23 is subnetted, 1 subnetsC 24.12.4.0 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/0 10.0.0.0/8 is variably subnetted, 6 subnets, 3 masksC 10.254.254.1/32 is directly connected, Dialer0C 10.0.1.0/24 is directly connected, GigabitEthernet0/1S 10.24.0.0/16 is directly connected, Dialer0S 10.23.0.0/16 is directly connected, Dialer0S 10.47.0.0/16 is directly connected, Dialer0C 10.254.254.134/32 is directly connected, Dialer0S* 0.0.0.0/0 [254/0] via 24.12.4.1
Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
