I'm interested in the appropriate method and splitter specs to feed our HSI plus four tvs.
The HSi (Blast, recently doubled in speed) is about 25 feet from where the main cable enters the house, a high res tv about 10 feet from the main, a lesser tv at about 25 feet from the main, another at about 55 feet from the main and another higher res tv being added at about 50 feet from the main.
All cables except the higher res tv being added at 50 feet have upgraded cables and compression fittings. The final tv (not yet connected) would be on a vintage smaller (standard??) cable that was built in the wall when built in the 1980's. If it turns out to be a problem, a cable could reluctantly be run up the outside of the wall because insulation makes it too tough to retrofit inside.
Would an amplified splitter be of benefit?
Does using one have negative effects in any cases?
