I have a Motorola SB6120 modem (owned not rented from Comcast) and a Belkin (Linksys) EA4500 router with the latest firmware. Both have been operating reliably and I never have connection issues. Signal levels are good.
Sometimes, however, my router isn't able to get an IPv6 address from Comcast. See attached screen shot. It is blank where the IPv6 address should be. I have tried the "Release and Renew" but that doesn't help. When I go to the IPv6 test sites, they tell me that I don't have IPv6.
This issue seems to come and go without my making any changes whatsoever. One day I will have an IPv6 address and the next I won't.
Any thoughts on why this is occurring?
