- Location: Petaluma, California - Issue: Using router's 5ghz wireless from a Mac Book Pro running Windows 8.1 with Boot Camp. Nowhere near advertised speeds for ipv4 traffic in speed test. ipv6 traffic seems to be the correct speed (105mbps ish). - Problem is consistent/constant - Modem: Motorola SB6121, - Modem Firmware etc: Firmware Name: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.14-SCM01-NOSH Boot Version: PSPU-Boot(25CLK) 1.0.12.18m3 - Router: Cisco Linksys E3200 - Router Firmware: 1.0.05 firmware (latest as of now) - Speed test proof: http://stage.results.speedtest.comcast.net/result/766581404.png - Shaperprobe results: DiffProbe release. January 2012. Build 1008. Shaper Detection Module. Connected to server 74.63.50.40. Estimating capacity: Upstream: 12189 Kbps. Downstream: 30552 Kbps. The measurement will take upto 2.5 minutes. Please wait. Checking for traffic shapers: Upstream: No shaper detected. Median received rate: 11872 Kbps. Downstream: No shaper detected. Median received rate: 29941 Kbps. - Browser: Latest Chrome - Note: Before the big Comcast changes, I was using an old Docsis 2 modem which was just fine around 50+ mbps. I started getting ~20 mbps with it and contacted support. They said for blast plus to work properly I needed a Docsis 3 modem now, which I purchased (the 6121). Still getting the same slow speeds. Have been through 4-5 comcast tech support chats and calls, re-provisioning multiple times, etc.. No dice. I've read threads around the net about WMM/QoS issues with this router and modem combination only with comcast (???), but I'm also seeing people say they have the issue with other makes of routers, or some people not having the issue with this setup at all, or that the newest firmware should fix it, etc. I've tried several proposed things. Turning off WMM just makes the ipv6 speed the same slow speed as ipv4, not making ipv4 faster. I'm out of ideas, please help..
