I have the triple play with Comcast. I owned my Arris TM722G. Today I bought a Arris SB69183 so I can have a 16x4 modem in case I need it.
My question on connecting it. I think I am right but will ask to make sure. All I have to split mt cable so on is going to the EMTA and one to the SB6183. Disconnect the wan from the emta and connect it the 6183. On the Emta I just need have the cable and phone cord connected.
Once every thing is connected open the browser to get to the walled garden. Enter the Modem name model number s/n number and mac address.
