[IPv6] Do I want/need IPv6-capable devices?

I'm about to switch from DSL (CenturyLink) to Comcast HSI and have lots of questions. My first relates to IPv6. Do I need it? My PCs and DSL modem/router support IPv6, but CenturyLink does not use it (at least in my location) so everything I currently access must be using IPv4. And I notice that most of the Comcast-approved modem/router combinations do not support IPv6. Should I make an effort to get only routers and modems (or combos) that support IPv6, or is that not worth worrying about? I've seem reports that Comcast has enabled IPv6 in some locations, but I'm not sure what that really means. Is Comcast providing IPv6 addrs to users in those areas but then mapping those to IPv4 addrs when the user connects to a host that doesn't support IPv6? Or does the connection just fail? (That would not be very cool.) If Comcast maps the addrs, does temporarily pull the address from a pool, or does the user get the same v4 address all the time (which would pretty much eliminate any advantage of IPv6)?
