For the past 6 months my Comcast internet connection has been flawless. Even when they pushed the Arris firmware, my speeds and connection were rock solid. Then 6 days ago Comcast pushed the 6.5.2.0 firmware to my SBG6580 and immediately my internet connection fell apart. My speeds dropped off and I started to get a large packet loss. All of my Power and SNR numbers look fine and I've rebooted the gateway and all of the computers multiple times, but nothing seems to help. I've run a traceroute to a couple of different sites and then used the first hop, Comcast's northeast fl site, 68.86.171.173 as a ping reference. Trying to ping this ip, I get anywhere from a 3-5% packet loss. This is making it impossible to do any online gaming. I appreciate any insights or suggestions about where to turn to correct the issue.
