I was helping my Brother in law's girlfriend move yesterday.... and She just applied for Triple Play. Comcast gave here an HD Box, and an EMTA, and gave specific instructions to wait for phone to activate prior to calling the number on the page (With the specific instructions)...
So they hooked up the EMTA to Cable, and HD Box to EMTA and waited....
3 days went by.... No telephone LED light (1 or 2) on EMTA.
While we were there moving boxes in, I checked the wiring and it's corrrect. While we were there, the Cable TV system turned on and started populating the Guide..... So that part is showing life....
BUT, even after a reset of the EMTA, still no Telephone Service.... and the rules they've been given were to wait for telephone service before calling....
If it were me, I'd be on the phone with any phone that worked, but she wants to follow the rules she has been given....... and she's getting disgusted....

They haven't tested HSI yet..... Not fully moved in...(Wouldn't it be a kick in the head if they got the free internet speed upgrade? and I'm still waiting for March 22nd?)
