Since I dropped the cable and went HSI only with Comcast I no longer need that twin lead cable on the back of my house. One lead was for video and one for HSI. The cable on the right is Comcast and the ones on the left are DirecTV.

I want to clean up the wiring somewhat by running a new single coax for HSI up to the Man Cave where the modem is and have the line follow the satellite wires so it's a little neater. I wouldn't have to drill as there are already a few holes by where the satellite comes in.
Now here is the tricky part. I could move the ground block outside and use the same grounding point as DirecTV as their grounding block is right out there too.

But the catch is I'd have to touch the Comcast drop wire to do this and I'm not sure about the legalities about doing this. It would go into my premises and not anyone else's.

What I am more likely to do is leave the ground block in the basement on the ceiling by the circuit breaker panel and run the wire out and back up and follow the satellite wires.
Is there a certain brand of cabling that is better or will run of the mill RG6 from Home Depot do the trick. The cables were removed when the house was stained and I had to bum some dual cable clips off a satellite installer to reattach it finally.

I've experienced ImOn (when they were McLeod USA), Mediacom, Comcast, and Time Warner and I currently have DirecTV. They are much better than broadcast TV.
I have not and will not cut the cord.
